During the reign of Louis XIII, in 1625, D’Artagnan, a young man from the provinces, travels to Paris to present himself to Monsieur Tréville, captain of the king’s Corps of Musketeers. During his journey, he meets Athos, Porthos and Aramis, three brave Musketeers, with whom he experiences a thousand adventures, always in conflict with Cardinal Richelieu’s guards and their Machiavellian plans. D’Artagnan’s love for Constance Bonacieux, chambermaid to Queen Anne of Austria, gives rise to the central episode of the novel, followed by others full of intrigues, passions, deeds of arms and adventures in one of the most interesting and conflictive periods in the history of France.
This short series will feature one coin for D’Artagnan and three other coins, one for each of the three veteran musketeers, Aramis, Athos and Porthos, for a total of four coins.
